Jill Clayburgh, an Oscar-nominated actress who starred on Broadway, TV and films including “An Unmarried Woman” and “Dirty Sexy Money,” has died. She was 66. The Associated Press reports:
Her husband, playwright David Rabe, says Clayburgh was surrounded by her family and brother when she died Friday morning at her home in Lakeville, Conn., after a 21-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Rabe says his wife dealt with the disease courageously, quietly and privately. She was nominated for an Oscar for “An Unmarried Woman” and “Starting Over.” She is survived by three children, including actress Lily Rabe, Michael Rabe and stepson Jason Rabe.
Rabe says there will be no funeral. The family will have a memorial in about six months.
